Did we really need yet another unofficial Microsoft Lumia 650 press render in anticipation of the low-end phone’s imminent introduction? Probably not, seeing as how the 5-inch Windows 10 Mobile handheld has had its design exposed multiple times of late.

But getting evleaked is nowadays an obligatory transitional stage from pre-production to store shelves, and Evan Blass couldn’t miss the opportunity of chiming in on the purported “last Lumia.” Alas, the illustrious tipster doesn’t confirm or dispute that label, so there’s still no way to know for sure if the Lumia 850 was indeed canceled.

What feels pretty certain is the high-end 950 and 950 XL will either never receive sequels or get them in the form of redesigned Surface Phones. Speaking of, though you can’t see it in this latest render, the Lumia 650 most likely improves on 640’s looks with a neat metal frame.

Aimed at business consumers on tight budgets, the “final Lumia” should be nothing to write home about in terms of specifications, with mediocre 720p screen resolution, quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB RAM, 8 and 5MP cameras, and 2,000 mAh battery probably in tow.

Initially rumored to go official two days ago, the Microsoft Lumia 650 may ultimately be held off until MWC in late February, or debut with little to no fanfare over the next couple of weeks. Either way, Redmond needs to price this ultra-aggressively (read under $150) in order to hit the mark.
