Windows Phone 8 Lumias May Soon Get Flip-to-Silence Mode

We’ve got what could be a little good news for Nokia Lumia owners to help balance-out that unfortunate story about the 710’s WP7.8 update, upon getting word that Nokia appears to be working on delivering the old flip-to-silence feature from its Windows Phone 7 devices to its newer WP8 lineup.

After pulling-down a new Lumia 620 firmware to appear on NaviFirm, one user reported a number of improvements to his phone, including the addition of the missing flip-to-silence feature.

With any luck, we could soon be seeing this feature go official for the 620, and likely other WP8 Lumia models (or at least those with flat screens). There’s also talk that Nokia could be interested in bringing other WP7 features to these newer phones, including DLNA support through its PlayTo app.
