We rounded-out last week by hearing some rumors about upcoming Microsoft Lumia hardware, describing a pair of seriously high-end-sounding Lumia handsets, outfitted with quad HD displays, 3GB of RAM, and all the latest silicon. These two phones, codenamed Cityman and Talkman, sounded pretty incredible, but was there even a remote shot that these guys were real, and we’d actually see them launch this fall? Well, we’re still a ways off from formal confirmation, but a new source is now speaking up about these rumors, confirming some details and adding a new twist to what we’ve heard.

The Verge starts by confirming those codenames, suggesting that there really is some solid evidence for the existence of these models out there somewhere. It further paints the two of them as being positioned similarly to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, with similar hardware that primarily differs by screen size.

One note the site adds that was absent from prior rumors concerns the eagerly anticipated Microsoft Continuum for phones feature that will allow handsets to connect to external monitors and act almost as full-fledged Windows PCs: while Continuum is mentioned as a possibility for the 5.7-inch Cityman, there’s no similar mention for the 5.2-inch Talkman.

This may suggest that Continuum support will not be universally present across Windows 10 hardware, even at the flagship level. Then again, maybe Talkman will work with it just as easily, and we’re not hearing about it now simply because of incomplete data on these devices. We’ll try and suppress any panic until we learn more.
