One of the coolest Windows Phone features is also one of the least famous among existing customers. The fact that Bluetooth LE didn’t originally work on Lumia smartphones was a bummer, but it was great to see this happen after the Lumia Cyan update. That option to see hardware improvements through software updates is great, even though it does make some of us wait for features to reach specific devices at times. Such is the case of 4K video recording, but one that will be solved very soon.

The Lumia Denim update closes the loop between Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, and the personalized experience that Lumia customers should receive. The amount of updates for new devices like the Lumia 830, 930 (Icon), and the 1520 are quite significant, and the only thing that’s really missing is a finalized date for all of these devices to receive the update. Credible sources claim that we should see this update arrive very soon, and we’re even hearing that Microsoft is planning to include these firmware updates on developer preview.

We do know that 4K video recording isn’t coming to the Lumia 830 due to its processor limitation, but devices like the Lumia 930 (Icon) and 1520 will definitely get some love. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more.
