New Nokia pics: Lumia 929 leaks, official 525 certification images
Ever since the Nokia World event last month, we’ve been wondering what would become of those model we had heard rumored so much, and were expecting to see Nokia launch, but ended up being no-shows at the announcement itself. Those included both the Lumia 929 and Lumia 525 “Glee,” and lucky for us we get to check out some new signs of each this morning.
The 929 shows up in some nice, clean pics, revealing the hardware from all angles. All the Verizon branding we’ve seen before is present, and we get some hands-on measurement of device dimensions, revealing a 10.5mm thick body. Look for the phone to run a Snapdragon 800, have a five-inch 1080p OLED display, offer 2GB of RAM, and have a 20-megapixel PureView camera. From the sound of things, we’re looking forward to a launch later this month.
We caught some signs of the 525 last week, but besides the fact that this will be a lower-end device, there’s not much we’ve known about the hardware. Today we get a look at the phone thanks to China’s TENAA, and it’s practically a carbon copy of the Lumia 520. In fact, we hear that much of the 520’s hardware might return for the 525 – really, the only update that might even be on the table is boosting the handset’s RAM up to 1GB. Still no word on what its rumored special music features might be.
