We’ve heard a lot about the idea of a lower-end, cheaper iPhone over the last couple days, and already have moved from analyst speculation to reports made by anonymous sources supposedly privy to such info. Now one more source is speaking up, continuing to add credence to these claims.

After the Wall Street Journal made its own report, Bloomberg has followed up with a source of its own, unnamed but reportedly exposed to Apple’s plans. Specifically, this source adds that we’d likely be looking at a release date that’s solidly later in the year, far after the rumored summer launch of Apple’s next-gen iPhone.

So far we’ve heard that Apple might be planning a primarily-plastic construction for this cheaper iPhone, and that it could be smaller than the iPhone 5, as well. The phone could also integrate a more flexible radio than we’ve seen in the past, with aims to make it a truly global handset that could be targeted at developing nations the world over.
