On February 9, Monday, T-Mobile told users to expect the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for their HTC One M8 devices, but, as that didn’t happen, the carrier circled back and gave out a new date: February 10, one day later (yesterday). It finally looks like users are able to get the refresh over-the-air as several HTC One M8 owners on T-Mobile have reported its existence and delivery. You can go ahead and manually check for the Lollipop update, or wait for the OTA notification to hit your phone. It should arrive any time now.
Another device, another part of the world: in India, the Samsung Galaxy S4 (soon to become two generations old), is getting its Lollipop update. It is destined for GT-I9500 models in India, and brings your OS version all the way to Android 5.0.1, with the build date January 30, 2015. Have your KIES software suite ready to install the refresh and enjoy Material Design (with a “slight” Samsung touch to it).
