Android Wear cell support and LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition launch

LG launched the V10 smartphone along with its cell-connected second-generation Android Wear smartwatch called the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition last month. But, in order for sales to happen, we had to wait on an Android Wear update to support LTE connectivity before sales could start.

Wait no more. The Android Official Blog has announced that support for cellular connections. And with that, it seems that Verizon is getting a leg up on the competition by offering pre-orders for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition starting tomorrow for $499.99 off-contract or $449.99 with a two-year, $5/month plan that’s added to your existing Verizon plan.

AT&T will start shipments and in-store purchases of the watch on Friday the 13th, though we don’t know any money talk just yet.
