LG shares early preview of LG UX 4.0, expected to debut on the G4
LG’s not one of those smartphone manufacturers that likes to keep its fans in the dark. It routinely announces new phones in advance of major trade shows, and even when it’s dealing with flagship launches, like the one for the upcoming G4, it can barely contain itself from releasing all the handset’s details weeks in advance. We just saw the company unveil a new quad HD display panel that just might find itself making up the G4’s screen, and now we’re turning our attention to software, as LG releases a teaser video for its LG UX 4.0 skin, the interface that we sure expect to premiere with the G4.
After a short recap of past LG UX releases, the video takes us on a short tour of this upcoming 4.0 release, complete with a new gallery, calendar app, and ringtone controls. In addition to new camera options, there’s also a new shortcut to speedily access the app. And the Smart Bulletin view from earlier releases makes a return.
LG’s launch event is coming up on April 28, just about three weeks away. Beyond introducing us to the G4, it will also likely bring us a lot more information about the changes present and new features being introduced in LG UX 4.0, so consider this just a taste, with the full meal yet to come.
