LG trademarks hint to the future of the G Flex

The LG G Flex is still regarded as one of the most interesting innovations of our time. By interesting we’re not really calling it the best one, as many of us were disappointed by the quality of the display, but other technologies like the self-healing coating did make some positive headlines. We’re still waiting to see what LG is planning for this product’s future, and today we get some hints on what to expect.

LG has just visited the USPTO with some new trademarks, and these all seem to be focused on the future names for the G Flex. The patent names were G Flex FrameG Frame, and F Frame, which don’t really confirm that we could be getting a couple of extra variants of the same phone, or if the names will be changed in the future. It could also be that LG hasn’t decided on the final name of the future G Flex and could be playing it safe.

The fact that the “F” is being used could hint to a new lineup of either higher or lesser quality devices to come. We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge.
