LG Spectrum from Verizon Hardware Tour (Video)

In this video, we are taking a closer look at the hardware on the LG Spectrum from Verizon.

Perhaps with hardware, the light side can prevail. Certainly the specs seem to show a worthy set of capabilities. But even the blazing LTE speeds can’t seem to do enough for this phone. The IPS screen, while quite brilliant and easy on the eyes, reveals a darker heart when you start looking closely at images. The still camera does an okay job (no stabilization or flash-assisted focus), but the video, even though it’s 1080p is rather poor in quality.

Surprisingly, the LG Spectrum comes with very little in the realm of onboard storage, and while it makes up for it with an included 16GB microSD, it would have been nice to have large amounts of space in both realms, internal and external. Maybe if this device was priced closer to the sub-$100 range, or even free – perhaps then it might make a decent deal. Then again, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig…
