LG Nexus 4 Render Leaked

By Stephen Schenck October 24, 2012, 10:43 am

By now, the design of the LG’s Nexus smartphone, presumed to be called the Nexus 4, is no secret; we’ve seen the handset pictured a number of times, and in quite high quality for an unreleased model. Today we may be able to add a Nexus 4 press render to the phone’s portfolio, upon the release of just such a leaked image.

This pic comes to us from Twitter user evleaks, who has been responsible for quite a few accurate leaks in the past. As such, our first instinct is to treat this image as likely genuine. It largely matches what we’ve seen already, but replaces the “with Google” on the phone’s rear with the Nexus logo.

Not everyone’s convinced, though, and more than a few objections have been raised as to this pic’s authenticity. Most focus on the status bar, with a newly-centered clock and battery meter that appears to report the percentage charge remaining. While we are looking forward to a new Android release to accompany the phone, there’s some concern that the changes we see here look more like a currently-available custom ROM than something Google might do.

With Google’s event just five days away now, we should be seeing all our Nexus 4 questions answered quite soon.
