LG G5 prototype leaked, but with ID-proof box

LG wants to come to MWC to “play” for the first time in a long time, especially when we’re talking “G” models. And with the G5 comes its share of leaks, including a surprise switch-up in design language, a battery trap door, and two optical portholes on the back. We’re now getting a good glance and how some of those changes will actuate, thanks to a Droid Life insider source.

There’s a “NOT FOR SALE” sticker along with a bunch of other overexposed stickers and a nice little blue one. A previous picture of the G5’s back, supposedly from the same leaker, showed off the camera collective (according to the leak, one is 16 megapixels, the other is 8) along with the volume and power button collective.

The current leaks drop the latter feature in favor of buttons on each siderail of the unit. USB-Type-C and a funny looking three-hole speaker grill wrap this puppy up. The bumper case ruins the rest of the device for us.

A month out and we’re getting closer to MWC and to the real thing.
