LG G4 Pro sounds like it could be decked-out in metal
LG may have only just launched the G4, but it’s already got a new flagship on the horizon, confirming plans to release such a model in the second half of the year. While we don’t yet know precisely what the company plans to introduce, new rumors suggest that LG could be working on a presumably larger-screened G4 Pro, and that this handset could arrive with a fresh metal look.
So says The Electronic Times out of South Korea, as it claims that LG is currently considering the idea of giving this G4 Pro a metal case. We’re unsure if this might mean a full-on metal body (though comments about manufacturing techniques sure suggest that could be a possibility), or something more akin to the G4’s swappable back – but crafted from real metal.
In either case, the motivation is reportedly a desire “to stress digital and futuristic feelings” for this new phone, in contrast to the analog vibe the G4’s leather back options created. That said, there’s the note that LG might be more comfortable trying out metal on a niche device rather than a high-profile flagship, so maybe LG will take this route for a different model, and deliver a G4 Pro with more G4-like material options.
Any of you LG fans intrigued by this possibility of a metal phone? Or did LG really nail things with the leather G4?
