The manufacturer has officially posted an LG G3 teaser video. Needless to say that the star of the 35 second clip is the upcoming flagship, the phone destined to compete with the HTC One (M8), Samsung Galaxy S5, and the Sony Xperia Z2.

“Simple is the new smart”, says the teaser, and we’re catching lighting fast glimpses of the yet unannounced device. The camera, the back buttons, the speakers, the screen, and even that mysterious laser on the back are being show off, not to mention that brushed overall aspect of the phone, which might be plastic or aluminum, depending on which reports you tend to believe.

We’re seeing a curved design towards the edges, and the callout for the announcement dates: May 27 for London, New York and San Francisco, May 28 Seoul, Singapore, and Istanbul.

We’ve recently seen more tentative leaks of the device, in two new color options, and if the rumors are spot on, we’re expecting a real powerhouse in terms of specs: aside from the 2K display, rumors also urge us to expect a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and other goodies.
