Uh. Yeah.

Apparently an action movie star is going to exemplify the “‘fun and playful experiences possible with the G5 and its versatile Modular Type design.”

Jason Statham will star as multiple (and the only) characters in at least one video commercial for LG’s latest flagship Android phone. It will be directed by Fredrik Bond who has mostly stuck to the ads industry, but has directed Shia LaBeouf-led “Charlie Countryman,” a dramatic rom-com.

A villainous peg of recent productions in the “Fast & Furious” series, Statham “enjoyed partnering with LG and working on this commercial, so I hope that shows through in the final piece.”

The spot will be available on LG Mobile’s Facebook page beginning April 1.
