Is a Diamond Enough to Scratch the iPhone Glass?

Photos and details are beginning to emerge on the new HTC Diamond smartphone that has been widely reported over the internet these past few weeks. The first official photos are shown below. The phone is rumored to have a motion sensor to automatically change the display orientation, much like the iPhone, to switch from portrait to landscape depending on how you hold the phone.

The iPhone sure inspired some new hardware features for HTC, including a higher resolution VGA display in a compact-sized smartphone and the accelerometer.
