Apple has entered a bit of a new product category with the iPhone 6 Plus this year – sure, it may still be an iOS smartphone, but it’s nowhere near the same as the iPhone 6. And it’s almost all about the size: the 5.5-inch display opens up a whole new world in terms of productivity possibilities. With a new look comes new competitors, one of which is the Oppo Find 7a. Both being 5.5-inch smartphones, they’re the perfect matchup for a comparison. So which is better? Our iPhone 6 Plus vs Oppo Find 7a video has the lowdown.
In terms of hardware, the two phones are surprisingly similar on some fronts, like the 5.5-inch 1080p displays each share. They also are both about the same size in-hand, though the iPhone 6 Plus is a hair larger. We don’t think the difference is worth making much a deal about, though.
The similarities end there for the most part. There’s an Apple A8 processor on the iPhone, as opposed to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 on the Oppo. There’s a 13MP camera on the latter, while the formal is sticking with the tried-and-true 8MP. They both have NFC, but one phone will only let you use it for Apple Pay. The two have totally different operating systems, one on Android 4.3 with Oppo’s ColorOS, and the other on iOS 8.
All these things, and more, are detailed for you in our video below, so go watch it and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
