Next iPhone To Pack 12-Megapixel Camera With Better Low Light Performance, HDR Video?

Get your “R” folder ready as this will go straight into it! According to the latest rumors, the next iPhone, most probably dubbed iPhone 5S — but that’s still subject to speculation — will pack an improved camera. As with the case of the iPhone 4S, S-phone releases are more of a spec bump. We’re not sure to what extent the internals will be bumped — again, the 4S bumped all the specs — but today’s rumor is talking about a 12-megapixel camera. As a reminder, the iPhone 4S also brought an improved camera over the iPhone 4.

In addition to that, the rumor also talks about improved low-light performance. While still talking about imaging, there is a mention that the next iPhone will also feature “HDR shooting”; since Apple has equipped its phones with HDR picture snapping capabilities for quite some time, we’re guessing that the automated translation could be inaccurate and we’re probably looking at HDR video features.
