It seems that iPhone 14 Pro's design is on the verge of being finalized as a lot of information has leaked in the past few weeks. We have seen that the iPhone 14 Pro is set to ditch the notch in favor of the "punch-hole + pill-shaped cutout". We have also heard that the iPhone 14 Pro models will be slightly taller than the standard iPhone 14 models. Now, a report from 91Mobiles claims to have leaked CAD renders of the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 14 Pro CAD file shows the punch-hole + pill-shaped cutout and much more.
The images reveal a lot about the iPhone 14 Pro design. It shows that the front earpiece is set to be embedded in the top frame of the device. Below this earpiece speaker grill, there will be two cutouts as anticipated before with one being pill-shaped and the other being punch-hole. The report claims that the punch-hole cutout will house the dot projector whereas the pill-shaped cutout will house the other Face ID sensors and the front-facing selfie camera.
It seems that the rear of the device will rather remain the same as the iPhone 13 Pro with large camera sensors taking most of the top-half space. Jon Prosser, an Apple leaker with a mixed record, previously said that the iPhone 14 series will come with a round-shaped volume button. However, the CAD file shows that the side button arrangement and design are going to remain the same as the previous-gen models.
Other things revealed by the CAD renders include the lightning port at the bottom — no USB-C just yet. The report adds that the display size is said to remain the same as the iPhone 13 Pro (again conflicting with what 9to5Mac said). The phone will reportedly retain the OLED display technology with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, which seems quite accurate.
