iPhone 14 CAD renders suggest we won’t see significant design changes in the more affordable variants

We have fresh new CAD render images of what seems to be the more affordable iPhone 14 model. Admittedly, these renders aren’t as exciting as the ones we saw for the alleged design of the iPhone 14 Pro, but at least they help by giving us a better idea of what’s coming in the future.

It seems that Apple’s design team didn’t have a hard time coming up with the design of the new iPhone 14, as the latest CAD renders suggest that there won’t be major design differences between the current model and its successor. Instead, the images portray a new iPhone model with the same notch and rear camera design we find in the iPhone 13.

These images were shared by the guys over at MySmartPrice, and it seems that they got them from an “industry insider.” It is believed that this design will be found in the two lower-end variants of the iPhone 14. This design will make it difficult to know whether you have the latest iPhone 14 model or the iPhone 13. However, you will find differences if you look closely, as it seems that the new iPhone 14 may feature “a thicker frame of glass surrounding the housing.”

“As already mentioned, the iPhone 14 will appear the same as the iPhone 13 from the front. The CAD renders also show that the back panel on the iPhone 14 features an iPhone 13-like rear camera placement. However, the camera housing seems to have received a minor refresh and seems to have a thicker frame of glass surrounding the housing. Notably, the dual rear cameras are placed adjacent, same as seen on the iPhone 13 alongside an LED flash module.”

Another important detail to take into consideration is that the CAD renders don’t include the Apple logo on the back of the device, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be left out of the final design of the iPhone 14. The device is also expected to feature the same 6.1-inch display that is found in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12. This new model is also rumored to launch with Apple’s A15 Bionic chip, while only the Pro models would see a jump to the new A16 Bionic chipset.
