Renders compare the iPad Air Plus with 12-inch MacBook Air

By Jaime Rivera January 26, 2015, 11:40 am

A couple of years ago, it would’ve been almost impossible to imagine Apple experimenting with anything outside its comfort zone. That said, the same company that was reluctant to launch a mini tablet, did with the iPad mini, and the same company that denied the need for a bigger iPhone, launched two of them with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Recent reports claim that Apple is working on a larger iPad and even a 12-inch MacBook Air, and if you’ve ever wondered what that will look like, have a look.

Designer Martin Hajek has already garnered some significant fame for his iPhone renders in the past, and today he gives us some interesting renders of what Apple’s future Mac and iPad lineup might look like together. We’d love to call these concepts, but Hajek does such an amazing job at making these designs resemble the actual products, that we’ll call them renders instead.

If you’ve ever seen the difference between the 11-inch MacBook Air compared to the 13-inch model, you might have noticed that the keyboard on the 11-inch model is a tad smaller to fit in the device’s body. This 12-inch model shows us a similar approach to the design, giving it a futuristic aspect. We also find it interesting that the 12-inch iPad has much larger bezels than the existing iPads, which could be to help users grasp such a large tablet.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about these products later this year.
