iOS 9 adoption falls off cliff, now at 70 percent

It appears that the camps have set up and whatever change comes next will either be out of necessity, a mistake or will have to wait until another big point upgrade. We’ve tracked the meteoric adoption rate of iOS 9 over the past season and now comes the quiet.

Apple is reporting that as of November 30, 70 percent of active iPhones are running iOS 9. iOS 8 remains on 22 percent of the rolling stock while other versions tick down to 8 percent. Earlier that month, we reported a 66 percent take-up about 50 days after initial release.

Three-month tallies for iOS 8 and iOS 7 stood at 60 percent and 74 percent, respectively.
