iOS 8.4 beta 1 jailbreak shown on video
Even though jailbreaking isn’t as popular as it was a few years ago, there is still a very active community working on cracking Apple’s code. iOS 8.4 beta 1 was released a few weeks ago to developers, and even though the list of changes isn’t vast, the new Music app does prove to be a worthy reason to upgrade. If you currently have a jailbroken iPhone and are worried about upgrading, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.
Famous code-breaker i0n1c just came tweeted that he was able to Jailbreak iOS 8.4 beta 1, and there’s even a video proving it. The source of vulnerability seems to be old, and apparently something that won’t leave the source code any time soon, but the source does confirm that the lines of code are significantly different to previous ones used. At the moment the jailbreak is tethered and private for obvious reasons, as hackers don’t want to give Apple a way to patch it. We also don’t know which devices are benefited by the hack aside from the iPhone 6 shown on video at the moment, but that should surface soon.
It’s hard to predict if the final version of iOS 8.4 will launch with this vulnerability, but if it does, you’re in luck.
