A Jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 beta gets released
Jailbreaking iOS products used to be extremely popular before iOS 4, and that was mainly because the functionality that iOS provided to users before then was extremely limited. If you wanted to do basics like multi-tasking, or even having a notifications tray, your only solution was to jailbreak. Today the Jailbreak community is much smaller than it used to be, again since iOS has matured over the years, but if you’re still in the mood to stretch your iPhone’s capabilities, there are some good news for you.
TaiG has just released a jailbreak that supports pretty much every iOS product that’s capable of running iOS 8.1.1 and even the pre-release iOS 8.2 beta. Progress for this jailbreak took a while, and you will remember that originally it would only work on devices with a 30-pin connector. Experts like MuscleNerd are recommending that you give it a couple of days before trying, mainly because of how controversial TaiG was with the iOS 7 jailbreak, and the inclusion of pirated apps. At the moment the procedure only works in Windows computers, but it should expand to the Mac very soon.
We will admit that we’re sad over the inclusion of iOS 8.2 beta in this release, as it’ll only give Apple enough time to patch the exploits that allow the hack to work. You can download the jailbreak at your own risk in the source link, though keep in mind that there are no specifics if this is tethered or untethered.
