Twitter integration was presented as one of the top features of the upcoming iOS 5 with the occasion of the WWDC announcement but it appears that the social integration of the next Apple mobile platform goes way beyond the chirp service even though Apple didn’t mention anything — must be part of the global picture of the 200 features added.

As you can see in the image above, Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn and MySpace are all there alongside Twitter. All you’ll have to really do is enter the appropriate user name and the OS will take care of the rest. If these features make it to the final release of iOS 5 this fall, Apple will get closer, even surpass Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 from this point of view as Mango will only have Facebook (from the early days), Twitter and LinkedIn integrations — even though further social networks might be added according to the needs of the market.
