It’s been one doozy of a day with WWDC’s keynote wrapping up in some of the most comprehensive updates to the ecosystem in a while. iOS 10 has brought some big changes to its core features. But you won’t be able to see any of it if you don’t have a proper device to take this software on.

So, here are the devices that you’ll be getting the update on:

  • All iPhones from the iPhone 5 or later
  • All iPads from the iPad 2 or later
  • Both the iPod touch 5th and 6th generation

Both the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5th generation have been supported with current software for nearly four years now while the iPad 2 is well into its fifth year.

One of the big surprises in iOS 10 that got omitted from the keynote was the fact that some key iOS apps previously part of the requisite stock experience were listed in the App Store.

That means that the Calculator, Calendar, Compass, Contacts, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Home, iBooks, iCloud Drive, iTunes Store, Mail, Maps, Apple Music, News, Notes, Podcasts, Reminders, Stocks, Tips, Videos, Voice Memos, Watch and Weather apps are all removable from your device’s home screen to save up on memory. You have the option of downloading the app again from the App Store if you need it. Do note that offloading some of these apps will break their functionality in the Control Center, the Notification Center and with CarPlay.

A reminder that developers can access the preview today, a public beta will come in July and the full release arrives in the fall.
