Huawei Watch: hands-on with the new circular Android Wear model (Video)

At MWC this year, if you’re introducing a new smartwatch, it had better be one with a circular screen. LG liked that idea so much, it brought along two such models. Huawei wasn’t about to be left out on this trend, either, and in addition to some new fitness tracker bands, launched a full-fledged smartwatch, the Huawei Watch. We stopped by the company’s MWC presence to take a look at this new Android Wear model for ourselves.

On paper, the Huawei Watch might just be the Android Wear model to beat. It’s got the highest-res display we’ve seen from the platform, beating out other round-screened models like the Moto 360 and any of LG’s entries. Marry that with a selection of attractive finish options, various bands, and a construction that, while still a bit chunky, manages to out-thin some of its direct Android Wear competition, and you’ve got a smartwatch that deserves a second look.
