Huawei P10 photos leaked, show off front-mounted fingerprint sensor

So over the Mate 9? Maybe you’d prefer to talk about the next front edge in Huawei’s smartphone calendar? Well, the pictures are here, so you might as well take a peek.

An engineering sample of the Huawei P10 (name as reported) was seemingly leaked on Weibo in a rather gaudy rose gold color. While the word and logo marks you see on the photos seem suspicious to you, prior leaks show that samples are usually mostly accurate in curve and trim, not print.

But the hallmarks are there, staring straight at us: what should be Leica-endorsed dual cameras on the back and a very derivative design from the Huawei P9 overall. One aspect previously rumored has also shown up here and that’s the orientation switch for the fingerprint sensor — now in the front instead of the back, as history would tell you.

We’re likely in early stages of this device’s trail to launch, so if anything shifts dramatically, we wouldn’t be too surprised if some new “DREAMS” came true.
