Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 hands-on (Video)

It’s a mouthful of a title, but it’s mouthful of a tablet. And an earful. And … well, you’ll see.

CES 2016 has been an interesting space for Huawei to extend its branches. It announced a couple of phones and a couple of smartwatches, but it also announced a tablet. A premium design tablet. Color us shocked.

Want more premium? How about some iPad Pro-esque speakers? Four of them, with harmon/kardon enhancements. It’s not a surprise Huawei’s pushing this aspect center stage. And why not, throw on an digitized stylus, too: that M-Pen might just be perfect for some limited split-screen multitasking enabled by Emotion UI on top of Android.

With the MediaPad M2, Huawei strikes a balance between bottom-feeder brands and haughtier ones. That goes to show in price:

  • $349 for 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and Wi-Fi only
  • $419 for 3GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM and Wi-Fi only
  • $469 for 3GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM and LTE
