Huawei Honor 6 announced with octa-core processor

The Huawei Honor 6 was announced yesterday, as the phone-maker continues to release devices from the Honor family, which tries to combine affordable prices and flagship-like specs. The Huawei Honor 6 will be launched in China on July 1, with pre-orders starting today, June 25. The prices are CNY1,999 (US$321) and CNY2,299, depending on whether you go for the 16 or 32GB storage variants.

As far as specs are concerned, the Huawei Honor 6 packs five-inch Full HD screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution, HiSilicon Kirin 920 octa-core processor clocking at 1.7GHz, 3GB RAM, 16 and 32GB storage options, 13-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facer. Network compatibility includes TD-LTE, LTE FDD, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and GSM. Powering everything is Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.3 on top of it.

Other notable features include a very thin (2.86 mm) bezel, and a slim footprint, measuring 139.8 x 68.8 x 6.5mm, and weighing 135 gr.
