As one of the emerging OEMs in the global smartphone market, Huawei has been making friends and Ascend-ing in market share. But as much as we appreciate the company’s hardware prowess, we have to say that the EMUI software can get kinda dodgy for us sometimes. Maybe a software update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow might be able to change our opinion on that.

If you’re looking forward to Marshmallow on your Huawei device, good (or bad) news! Huawei’s got a list of models getting the update. The list includes not only the phone series, but each individual model, mainly for SIM configuration. Keep that in mind as we go down the lines:

  • P8
  • P8 Young
  • Ascend Mate 7
  • Mate S
  • P8 max
  • Maimang 4 (domestic version of the G8)
  • G7
  • G7 Plus
  • Honor 7
  • Honor 7i
  • Honor 6
  • Honor 6 plus
  • Honor X2
  • Honor Play 4X
  • Honor Play 4C

The rollout begins next month. May your Emotion UI be tempered.
