We’ve been able to acquire what appears to be a rendering of an upcoming HTC smartphone that bears a lot of similarity to their current flagship Desire HD. This mystery device clearly features a front facing camera (handsomely surrounded with chrome) next to a redesigned ear piece that has a slight curvature to it. The edges of the phone are more rounded than we’ve been seeing from HTC lately, perhaps representing a return to the more rounded shape that we saw with the Nexus One and original Desire. The buttons below the screen indicate that the handset is meant to run Android. The screen looks smaller than the Desire HD, possibly coming in at 3.8 or even 4 inches.

Beyond this speculation, we don’t have any other information on this handset, though it’s likely that Mobile World Congress will provide some answers.
