HTC’s Peter Chou Shows-Off White M7

Yesterday, we heard that HTC’s M7, the company’s rumored upcoming flagship Android with a 1080p 4.7-inch screen, would not only be available in the black color we got to see in some leaked imagery, but also as a silver-and-white variant. At the time, all we had were those claims, and no good evidence to back them up (short of the earlier white render which didn’t really seem to match the more recent pics), but today that white M7 suddenly seems very much real, upon a spotting at an HTC year-end event.

These screencaps from a TV news broadcast of the event supposedly show HTC CEO Peter Chou using the white M7 to take a few shots of the crowd. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see the phone close up or in any kind of detail, but if this really is the M7 we’re looking at, we’d have to say that white option is pretty much confirmed.

HTC’s got an event scheduled for just over two weeks from now, on February 19, where we’re expecting to get the full skinny on the M7, which should now include news of this white option. Be sure to check in with us then for our coverage of the New York event.

Update: Now with video.
