We can only applaud HTC’s efforts to make good on their promise and unlock as much bootloaders as possible. There are now a lot of HTC-made Android phones which are unlockable via HTCdev — recent additions include the Wildfire S, Wildfire, Salsa, Merge, and Desire — and now we get some more.

If you have an HTC Desire HD or a variant of the Desire or Wildfire, you can head over to the HTCdev website and unlock your bootloader. You have to read and understand that it will void your warranty but once you get passed that, there’s nothing stopping you from enjoying an unlocked bootloader if you have one of the devices, more than 40, now supported.
