HTC Thunderbolt ROM Ripped, Leaked

It didn’t take long at all before the ROM (also know as the “RUU”) for the HTC Thunderbolt/Mecha/Incredible HD was ripped and leaked.

While that doesn’t mean that you can simply “install” the ROM on your device, it does give developers the opportunity to look for all the goodies hidden within the device — without actually having the device in-hand. From there settings, apps, and other bits and pieces can be extracted and incorporated into other ROMs, and eventually the entire ROM itself ported to other devices.

If you’re one of those folks who can’t help but looking at the man behind the curtain, you can grab a copy of the leaked RUU from the links below. Look for a file named RUU_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.03.605.10_Radio_1.02.00.01 03_2r_NV_8k_1.37_9k_1.52_release_165253_signed.exe
