If you’re on AT&T and are still rocking the 2012 flagship, you should be happy to find out that the phone will be getting its Android 4.2.2 update on January 29, which is tomorrow. Apparently, according to HTC’s Executive Director for Product Management, the 4.2.2 update with Sense 5+ has been approved by the carrier and the over-the-air update process has been scheduled for tomorrow. That doesn’t mean that you will get yours the same day, as usually these firmwares are pushed out in waves, but you can start hitting that “check for updates” button soon.

Two weeks ago HTC One X+ users on AT&T have received a similar treatment, though chances are that this version will be the one that will, at least officially, stay on the phone, forever. It’s not KitKat, but is sure ain’t Android 4.1 either.
