HTC Spells-Out Who’s Getting the One, and When

HTC’s retail launch of the One seems to have hit a small roadblock, and rumors of shortages eventually led to HTC confirming delays in some markets. It’s tried to assure interested customers that the phone would still be available soon, and that any delays wouldn’t affect the handset’s US availability. With the One finally about to go up for sale, HTC has issued a new statement explaining just where you’ll be able to get the One next week, as well as clarifying the US launch window.

The company explains, “HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April.” It continues, “we appreciate our customers’ patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait.”

Granted, we were already looking to April US availability, but at least it seems like HTC is sticking to its word that delays won’t push back those US dates back any farther. Are you guys still excited to see the One arrive, or has the Galaxy S 4 launch sort of ruined it?
