HTC One M9+ Prime Camera Edition exists — because the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition wasn’t enough

Ready for another One M9 rehash? Or, to be more accurate, a rehash of a One M9 rehash? Are you ready for the HTC One M9+ Prime Camera Edition?

Well, it looks to be well and ready for India with a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel main camera with an aperture of f/2, laser-assisted autofocus and OIS. It’s listed on HTC’s eStore site in India, but is only currently being priced at third-party sources for Rs. 23,990 or about $358.

You may recall that the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition debuted last month in Europe as a rebadged HTC One M9s. Previously a Taiwan-exclusive release, it was essentially a slightly lighter-weight version of the original phone, but with a 13-megapixel camera supposedly improved from the 21-megapixel unit on the original.

The One M9 had a hulkier sibling called the HTC One M9+ — it also debuted in India. That sibling became an uncle twice-removed with the HTC One M9+ Supreme Camera Edition that launched in Taiwan. The former had a 20-megapixel main camera while the other had a 21-megapixel sensor.

How many ways can One make an M9? So far, eight — including all the E9 variants.
