HTC has always not been just about its prime offerings for its respective series. It’s also been about slightly iterating on those prime offerings and sending those tweaked phones to different markets (to awkward results). Heck, it slightly iterates on year-old flagships and treats them as brand spankin’ new machines — see the One M8s or the One S9.
The latest rebadge has come from Taiwan to Europe. The One M9s got an “early” release in the ROC (because why not?) as it was only seven months off the One M9’s release. It had a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 2GB of RAM and a f/2.0 13-megapixel camera sensor with OIS.
Fast forward to Month #13 from original launch and we see something called the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition pop up in Poland. And it has all the same specs as the One M9s. And it’s actually being carried by the Play network for 1 zł ($0.26) with an unlimited plan. Not only that, but we found the phone on HTC Deutscheland’s site.
Remember the HTC One M9+ Supreme Camera Edition, by the way? No? So yeah, is all this to be expected? Yep. Will it detract from our attention on the HTC 10? Again, no.
