HTC M8 Mini will follow after the M8
If 2013 is of any indication, HTC should play the same card in 2014 too. On February 19 (note, before MWC 2013) HTC announced the One flagship and on July 18 the company unveiled its smaller sibling, the HTC One Mini. This year, the HTC M8 (the One+, One 2, or another name) is expected to be unveiled sometime during the first quarter of the year, bearing the model number 0P6B120 which we initially heard about back in November.
According to @evleaks, the 0P6B (only first part of the model number for the M8) will be followed to the market by a certain 0P8B (our note, we’re likely looking at the 0P8B120), which should be the Mini version of the M8 (One+ Mini, One 2 Mini, etc.). If, again, 2013 is of any indication, the M8 mini should pack a smaller screen and more modest specs, but the same features software-wise.
There is no speculation yet regarding a Max version of the phone; on October 14 HTC unveiled the HTC One Max, as the third and largest member of the One family. Depending on HTC’s plans for the phablet (after analyzing sales and reaction from the market), we might or might not see a larger version of the M8 towards the end of the year.
