At the beginning of December HTC rolled-out the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update for the HTC Flyer tablet but many users, after applying the update, wanted to return to the previous build, which was Gingerbread.

The matter was taken to HTC support and the answer was that users could either a. send their tablets to HTC service centers where the Gingerbread ROM would be reinstalled on the device or b. wait for the official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM to be rolled-out in the coming month, as the landing ETA is the first quarter of 2012.

The information comes from HTC's support and could be regarded as an official one but there's always the chance for a certain rep to be overzealous or not well informed. However, this is the first reference to the Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Flyer and, as reported above, it should land in this quarter.
