We are on a roll when it comes to HTC leaks and rumors this fine Friday, so why stop now? After all those phones we’ve been hearing about, and now this tablet that sounds like a Sense-running budget version of the Nexus 9, we’ve got one more to hit (at least, we think it’s just one more – plenty of hours of left in the day) before the weekend rolls around: a new Desire model (or rather, pair of Desire models), the HTC A50AML.

All we have right now are a few rumored specs: we’re looking at an octa-core A53-based MediaTek Soc, 2GB of RAM, 16GB flash, and the presence of Android Lollipop – no mention yet of screen size nor resolution.

As for this being a pair of devices, we’ve heard that all A50AMLs will have a 13MP main camera, but that there could be two versions with differing front-facers: one with a 13MP standard sensor, and one with a 4MP UltraPixel sensor. The latter would supposedly be positioned as the phone’s more premium edition.

HTC’s reportedly making this guy with the help of designer and manufacturer Longcheer. For the moment, we don’t have a great sense for when a release might be possible, so don’t necessarily count on seeing anything pop up at April’s HTC event in China – the A50AML could still be a ways off.
