If you’ve had your eye on the HTC Desire but haven’t sprung for one because of the lack of US 3G, fret no more: you can now buy an unlocked Desire with the proper bands to do 3G on AT&T. It’ll cost you, though. Over a Negri Electronics, they’re shipping for around $600 with a new round of inventory expected next Wednesday (since it’s in Preorder status). Our advice? While the Desire is one of the best Android devices around right now, it’s likely that AT&T will soon offer an even wider variety of Android devices coming up this fall, so it may be worth waiting to get the subsidized price on an upcoming model.
