Last week HTC was letting us all Desire owners know that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, with or without Sense or other applications in order to keep it slim, was undergoing the testing phase. It now appears that the testing is done.

According to HTC’s recent Facebook status, the manufacturer has done testing the HTC Desire Gingerbread update ROM. Since testing “has gone well”, the Taiwanese company is informing Desire users that it will start rolling out the update by the end of this month. There’s still no information on what exactly will be removed from the system, apps or Sense itself, so we’ll have to wait for more info on that (or for the first leak) in order to know more. What really matters is that it’s coming!
