If you’ve been rocking the HTC Desire EYE on AT&T, you’re going to be a happy person tomorrow. At long last, the phone will be receiving an update to the latest version of Android, Sense utilities and all included.
It’s unclear from what Mo Versi, a product manager at HTC, had to say on Twitter whether the update will include Android 5.1 or just a build of Android 5.0. It’s likely to be the former, given the fact that the Sprint One M9 is receiving that update today, but it’s not likely to make much of a difference if it’s the latter – skinned versions of Android don’t have much to benefit from updating to the newer firmware.
The HTC Desire EYE Lollipop update should be rolling out to all compatible devices tomorrow. We’ve got our review unit in hand ready to jump to the latest version!
Great news for HTC Desire Eye AT&T owners! We’ve just received technical approval for Lollipop update! OTA to start tomorrow!

Update: HTC has confirmed that this build is indeed Android 5.0, not Android 5.1. See the note above, though – it’s not likely that this should matter for any reason other than if you want your number to be bigger.
