HTC Desire 626 leaked, probably coming at MWC
The HTC One M9 (if the company sticks to the naming convention), or the Hima (if the Hima is indeed the codename for the 2015 flagship), is obviously what we’re all looking forward to seeing at HTC’s pre-MWC special event on March 1, but, just in case HTC sticks to the 2014 plan (and decides to launch the One M9 at a special event, away from MWC), we should prepare to see some Desire phones, like last year.
One of these new Desire phones which stand a great chance at becoming unveiled at Mobile World Congress is the HTC Desire 626 leaked today, and pictured above and below, codenamed A32, according to the leak. It will likely pack a MediaTek octa-core processor clocking at 1.7GHz as well as 2GB of RAM (quad-core Snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM for some models (CU)), in addition to a five-inch screen with HD resolution (that’s 720p, at 720 x 1280 pixels). Said phone will be equipped with a pair of 13MP and 5MP cameras, for back and front respectively), as well as 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,000mAh. The report also claims that it will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box (with HTC’s Sense on top of it, or maybe just BlinkFeed), but will receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop update later.
The grill cutouts on the top and bottom seem to suggest BoomSound speakers, but we can’t verify this information at the moment.
