Final HTC 10 leak puts spotlight on design in official promo video

No, it’s technically not out yet. But it might as well be, since HTC once again failed spectacularly at keeping anything a secret. Literally all there is to know about the redesigned One M9 sequel is out of the bag.

The name. The full specs. Color choices. Even wallpapers, and as for the new flagship’s looks, if renders after renders after live pics after live pics weren’t enough to prove just how impressive a fashion statement the HTC 10 is, we’ve now got the mother of all visual leaks on our hands.

Specifically, a 50-second-long video clip dedicated entirely to the external appearance of the phone set to be formally announced tomorrow. By the looks of it, it’s a prematurely revealed official promo, and it features cool music, neat special effects, a One A9-similar face, and revamped back cover with chamfered edges, prominent camera, dual tone flash, and presumably laser autofocus too.

The HTC 10 can’t be accused of copying iPhones, despite sporting horizontal top and bottom antenna stripes on its rear, and it’s not an exact replica of the One A9 either, although it sticks with an oval physical home key that also works as a fingerprint scanner.

The bottom-firing speaker is the perfect combination of low-profile and distinguished, and oh, there’s the USB Type-C port as well. Finally, you got your lock button and volume rocker on the right side, with a somewhat chunky-feeling waist in tow, deriving from that arguably stylish otherwise beveled surface.
