HONOR unveiled the Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro during MWC 2022, and we just heard some rumors going around about a potential HONOR Magic 4 Lite smartphone. It turns out that recent rumors about the HONOR Magic 4 Ultimate were true, and the company today unveiled the new smartphone with impressive specifications and a massive 1/1.12-inch sensor.

The new HONOR Magic 4 Ultimate looks identical to the existing Magic 4 lineup, and it comes with a large 6.81-inch LTPO OLED display, and it has a resolution of 1312 x 2848. The panel has 1-120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports 1920Hz Pulse-Width Modulation (WM) dimming to offer a more comfortable viewing experience in low light conditions.

The new HONOR Magic 4 Ultimate is powered by the same chipset as the Magic 4 Pro, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The fingerprint scanner is placed under the display, and it also has Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support and 5G.

The camera on the back is where the Magic 4 Ultimate differs a lot from the Magic 4 Pro. It has a 50MP f/1.6, 1/1.12-inch,1.4µm primary sensor. The company says that the device can shoot scenic night shots or low-light, brighter portraits with more colors and less visual artifacts. The phone also has a 64MP f/2.2 ½-inch ultrawide camera, a 64MP f/3.5 periscope camera with 3.5-times optical zoom, and a 50MP f/2.0 wide sensor. There’s also a TOF 3D depth sensor on the back. The front selfie camera is a 12MP f/2.4 sensor.

The battery capacity is rated at 4,600 mAh, which is the same as the one in the Magic 4 Pro. It supports 100W fast wired charging, but it only supports 50W fast wireless charging, whereas the Magic 4 Pro supports industry-leading 100W wireless charging.

The HONOR Magic 4 Ultimate will be available in China later this year for CNY 8,000, or around $1,260. The device will be available in Black and White colors.
