Here Maps for iPhone coming today, with full offline navigation

If you’re an iOS user on your iPhone, chances are that you’ve probably tried to find an alternative to iOS Maps. Whether that’s Google Maps or another alternative is not really the question here, but you should give Nokia’s HERE Maps a try, as it is now available, again, in the iTunes App Store, and Nokia claims the software team has fixed all the issues that stopped you from using the app when it was initially available.

The mapping solution is very popular (for obvious reasons) on Windows Phones, and it is already powering over four million devices as a result of Android installs from the Play Store. One of the key features of the application is the ability to save offline maps, especially handy when traveling to regions without coverage to sustain data connections, or simply going abroad, where you want to keep your roaming costs down by disabling data. While offline, you will be able to use all of the features of the application, just like you would while connected.

If you want to take the app for a spin, look for it in the iTunes App Store later today.
